Louis Archambault

A resident of Helena, Montana since 1993, Lou came from Massachusetts to study Architecture and Art at MSU. Throughout his practice of architecture he incorporated his love of painting. Having learned watercolor from Walter Hook at UofM, he continues his art education by frequently enrolling in painting workshops and today paints in all the various media including his unique combination of watercolor with pastel. Lou also enjoys teaching a variety of classes. Although his repertoire of subject matter is wide, the painting of architecture and people are his mainstay. To this end he frequently travels to Europe to paint its' old architecture on location. His style is considered romantic realism. His work has been exhibited at the Charles Russell and the Lewis & Clark Center in Great Falls, Glacier Park, and the Holter Museum in Helena, Montana.
